  Lon M. Pipkin and Amber E. Powell of Water Valley announce the birth of a daughter, Haley Michell Pipkin on March 29, 2006, in Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi at Oxford. She weighed six pounds, thirteen ounces.
  Sharing honors as grandparents are Philip and Emily Powell of Charleston and Water Valley, and Lon and Sherry Pipkin of Water Valley.

  Shelly and Mark Nicholas of Clinton announce the birth of a son, Clark Oliver Nicholas, on February 9, 2006, at 8:20 a.m. in Baptist Medical Center at Jackson.
  Maternal grandparents are John and Vickie Nettles of Jackson. Paternal grandparents are John and Barbara Nicholas of Water Valley.

  Lettie Blackwood of Water Valley and Jim True of Batesville were guests of King Miko Prospenie of Houma, Louisana during Mardi Gras Krewe of Terreanians.
  They attended several parties, breakfasts and parades. They also attended the ball on Saturday night. This is a very formal occasion, where all ladies dresses have to have at least 70% touching the floor. The men wear formal attire for the ball. Sunday they were guests on the viewing stand. Women could not wear pants and men had to wear a coat and tie.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. Wynn of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Brianne, to Joshua Garrick Byford, son of Mrs. Amelia Wilder of Water Valley and Donald Byford of Coffeeville. The bride is the granddaughter of the late Raymond and Martha Masopust of Jackson and the late Pearl Wynn Cockroff of Pearl and Walter D. Wynn, Sr. of Brandon.
Miss Wynn graduated from Brandon High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University and is employed as store manager for Bridgette’s Monogramming and Gifts.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Thomas of Water Valley and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Byford of Coffeeville. He is a graduate of Water Valley High School and will receive a Bachelor of Sciences and Agriculture Pest Management degree from Mississippi State University. He is employed with Bayer Crop Sciences.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at six o’clock in the evening on June 24, 2006, in the Brandon Baptist Church, with a reception to follow at River Hills Club in Jackson.

Mr. and Mrs. George Gammill of Marks announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Faye Gammill, to Jeremy Shawn Burney, son of Reverend and Mrs. Keith Burney of Coffeeville.
Grandparents of the bride-elect are Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Goode, Sr. of Lambert, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gammill of Clarksdale.
Miss Gammill is a graduate of Delta Academy, Northwest Mississippi Community College, and Phillips Community College in Arkansas, where she studied nursing. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society at Northwest Mississippi Community College. She is a resident assistant at Flowers Manor in Clarksdale.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hardy of Water Valley and Mrs. Joyce Burney and the late Mr. Bobby Burney of Coffeeville.
Mr. Burney is a graduate of Water Valley High School, Northwest Mississippi Community College, and Lee University, where he studied ministry. He is a munitions apprentice in the U. S. Air Force.
The wedding is planned for two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at West Marks Baptist Church in Marks.

  Ms. Joyce Campbell announces the engagement of her son, Fredricke Campbell, to Christy Morgan, daughter of Mrs. Rosie Morgan and the late John B. Morgan of Water Valley.
  Miss Morgan graduated from Water Valley High Shool and is employed at the Wal-Mart Super Center in Oxford.
  The prospective groom is the son of Joyce Campbell and the late Lee Russell Smith. He graduated from Water Valley High School and is employed by Marchbanks Specialty Company, Inc.
  Wedding vows will be exchanged at the Martin Center in Oxford at four o’clock in the afternoon on May 6, 2006. A reception, which will also be held in the Martin Center at Oxford, will follow.

Maurice and Susan Savage of Oxford announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tracy Mae Gatlin, to Jarred C.R. Wakefield, son of C.J. Wakefield and the late Benjamin C. Wakefield of Oxford.
The couple will exchange vows at five o’clock in the evening on Sunday, June 11, 2006, at the home of the bride and groom at 21 County Road 2054 off of Hwy. 30.
Minister David Freeman of First Christian Church in Water Valley will offiiciate. There will be a dinner reception immediately following the nuptials.
The bride and groom invite all friends to attend.
After a honeymoon in Florida, the couple will reside in Oxford.
