  Miss Sheila Jenkins and Mr. Russell Woodall were united in marriage Saturday, May 20, 2006. Vows were exchanged at eleven o’clock in the morning at their home in Taylor. Rev. Ray Hickinbottom officiated the ceremony.
  Miss Jenkins is a daughter of Alfred and Inez Jenkins of Water Valley. Mr. Woodall is a son of Martha Woodall and the late Robert Woodall, both of Taylor.
  The bride currently works at Whirlpool of Oxford.

  Melissa and Brian Breithaupt of Vicksburg announce the birth of their third son, Brody Craig Breithaupt. He was born March 14, 2006, at CMMC Hospital in Jackson. Brody, who weighed six pounds, four ounces, and was 19 inches long, is being welcomed by big sister, Morgan, 14 months, and by brothers, Garrett, 7, and Layton, 14.
  Proud grandparents include: maternal grands, Preston and Lynn Wilbourn Bonner of Water Valley; and paternal grands, Lonnie and Dixie Breithaupt of Vicksburg.

  Molly Olivia Kirkland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald “Davy” and Audrey Kirkland of Long Beach, was born March 26, 2006, in Garden Park Medical Center at Gulfport. She weighed six pounds and eleven ounces and was nineteen and one-half inches long at birth.
  Maternal grandparents are Randy and Linda Peacock of Coffeeville. Maternal great-grandparents are Hazel Pack and Buddy Peacock of Water Valley.
  Paternal grandparents are Dr. Ron and Sue Kirkland of West Memphis, Arkansas. Paternal great-grandparents are Dina Kirkland and the late B. L. Kirkland of Liberty.
  The mother is the former Audrey Peacock Eubanks of Water Valley.
  Molly is welcomed home by her big brother, Will, and sisters, Megan, Maci, and Millie.


  June 3. 2006, was a Festive Day at 107 Leland Street. At 11:00 a.m., a group of North Branch Mississippi Poetry Society members met for business and enjoyment of new poems. Present were Mr. Michael Shelton, President, of Pheba; Dr. Charles Treas and Mrs. Joe Dale Mistilis, of Oxford; Mrs. Dorothy Caulfield Wiman, of Belzoni; and Mrs. Caulfield.
  From 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Dessie’s children hosted a reception in honor of her 90th birthday (which is June 5th). Many extended family members and friends attended. Her son, Barron Caulfield, Jr., started the afternoon with a short word of appreciation and a prayer. Daughters Elizabeth W. Caulfield, Mary Alice Caulfield Patterson from the Philippines and Dorothy Wiman, greeted guests. Grandson Lloyd Caulfield helped with parking.
  Out-of-town family and friends attending were: her sister, Mrs. Adelaide Anderson Steele of Tutwiler; Mrs. O. M.   Dr. and Mrs. Justin Baker of Jackson, Tennessee joyfully announce the birth of their daughter, Clancy Chandler Baker. Clancy was born April 17, 2006, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She weighed eight pounds, five ounces and was 21 inches long.
  Grandparents are Jimmy and Nancy Faye Baker of Batesville, Amy Lambert of Southaven, Jim and Paula Lambert of Hernando. Great-grandparents are Mrs. R. H. Baker of Batesville and Mrs. Willa Chesshir of Sarasota, Arkansas. She is also being welcomed by a sister, Canaday, 4, and a brother, Jack, 3.

  Jennifer and Lee McMinn proudly announce the birth of their first child, a son, John Lee McMinn, III. The baby was born at 3:15 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2006, in Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi at Oxford. He weiged six pounds, seven ounces and was eighteen and one-quarter inches long.
  Grandparents are Bill and Mary Norris of Water Valley and the late John and Sarah McMinn, also of Water Valley.

  Amanda Huckaby is proud to announce the birth of a daughter, Caitlyn Joy. She was born June 8, 2006, at 3:50 a.m. in Water Valley. Tanya Creekmore of the Yalobusha General Hospital EMS Service delivered Caitlyn. She weighed five pounds, thirteen ounces, and measured nineteen and one-half inches long.
  Caitlyn is being welcomed by grandparents, Ann and Earl Gilpin of Water Valley and Barry and Shirley Prestage of Tipton County, Tennessee. Great-grandparnets are Freddie Rutherford and the late Marshal Rutehrford of Water Valley and Jo Prestage and the late Russell Prestage of Water Valley. Also welcoming Caitlyn is Big Sister Angela Grace, and Uncle Bob Ruterford, and Aunt Nessie.

  George Givens and Vivian Cooke of Water Valley are pleased to announce the birth of a son, Geonii Vashad Givens was born May 29, 2006 in the Special Delivery Services at Oxford in Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississipp.
  He weighed seven pounds, two ounces.
  Sharing honors as grandparents are Lavorn Cooke of Water Valley and Mary Givens of Carthage.
  Also welcoming the new baby is a sister, Salanthia Cooke.

  Mr. and Mrs. Pete Tyler celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary June 24, 2006, with the renewing of their wedding vows, officiated by Rev. Hank Anderson. Special music was performed by their granddaughter, Rebecca Moore.
  There was special poetry by their grandson, Joey Weber, daughter, Kathy Moore, and Pastor Ken Gray.
  There was an abundance of food and great fellowship.
  The children wish to thank everyone who came to celebrate with them. The celebration was hosted by Kathy Moore of Ripley, Becky Way of Water Valley, Judy Weber and Michelle Carmache of Norco, Louisiana.

  Terry and Cindy Warren of Oxford and Rusty and Jean Pinion of Tula announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Miss Ashley Baker Warren of Oxford, to Jonathon Robert Grantham of Wiggins. Jonathon’s parents are Wayne Grantham of Wiggins and Mike and Cindy Myhand of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
  Wedding vows will be said at five o’clock in the afternoon July 29, 2006, in Oxford-University United Methodist Church. Family and friends are invited to attend.
  Miss Warren is a granddaughter of Ms. Sammye Baker and the late Shaw Baker of Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Warren of Water Valley, the late Ms. Mary Ellon Warren of Oxford, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Pinion of Tula, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Holcomb of Oxford.
  Ashley is a 2001 graduate of Oxford High School and attended Northwest Mississippi Community College from 2001 to 2004. She is an active member of Taylor United Methodist Church and is employed by Rebel Rags on Jackson Avenue in Oxford.
  Mr. Grantham is a grandson of Ms. Frances Grantham and the late Arthur Ray Grantham of Mendenhall, Willie Faye Shambley and the late O. D. Shambley of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Hot Myhand of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
  Jonathon is a 1999 graduate of Stone High School. He completed his associates degree in Science at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2001 and graduated from the University of Mississippi in May of 2005, with a degree in Criminal Justice. He is a member of Taylor United Methodist Church and is employed by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.

  Shylo Banton and Justin McNatt were united in marriage in a beautiful ceremony at two o’clock in the afternoon June 3, 2006, in the Church of Christ in Coffeeville. The church was tastefully decorated with lush ferns, interspersed with white and pink roses. Completing the wedding setting were white bridal tapers in formal brass candleabra.
  Given in marriage by her brother, the bride was raidant in a strapless formal gown of white satin. The full skirt swept into a chapel train. Her shoulder length veil of silk illusion fell from a lace and pearl headpiece. The bridal bouquet was of white and pink roeses, Boston ivy, stephonotis, and was tied with tiny pink and white ribbon streamers.
  The bride was attended by her bridesmaids, Kira Keisling, Sheila Nairomore, Katie Vespo and Desirae Grady. Flower Girl was Kami Pounders and the ring bearer was Keegan Vespo.
  Serving the groom as best man was Joey Chapman.
  A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the church activity building.
